JLWA planned and developed a 20-bed dual-diagnosis residential treatment center
(medical model) for American Indian youth. We planned services, staffing, and budgets.
We developed policies and procedures and obtained the state license and rate setting.
We also provided technical assistance to the building committee to design a new 12,000
sq. ft. facility.

We also obtained $934,284 in funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Services Administration to purchase residential substance abuse treatment and mental
health services for low-income American Indian youth.
