JLWA attended consultation meetings in Green Bay, Wisconsin on the Oneida Indian
Reservation with representatives from tribes and experts in justice, substance abuse,
and mental health. We developed a report (from the meetings) to give our
recommendations on how the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration and the Department of Justice could improve policy coordination and
use culturally appropriate strategies to address substance abuse and mental health
needs of justice-involved youth.
