JLWA worked with the National Indian Health Board and the University of Washington,
Indigenous Wellness Research Institute to plan and develop a $4.4 million Native
American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) grant proposal to the National
Institutes of Health. The NARCH project is designed to study screening, brief
intervention, referral, and treatment practices and interventions at 20 tribal and federal
health care sites in 11 states.
